South Africa has appealed the adoption of the Microsoft-sponsored Office Open XML (OOXML) document format as a standard by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the ISO said Friday. In Johannesburg (or Jozi), street lights work and are obeyed; the computerized system has cracked down on all errant motorist until they have all towed the line.
